A Slice of Quarantine
This weekend was difficult for me. I felt unmotivated during my run. I ended up running 14 miles at a pretty good pace but it felt much longer than I thought. Maybe I've just been cooped up in the same area for too long. I have not seen any of my friends. I found out some races were cancelled this summer, too. Some days are starting to feel like forever.
Luckily, Mondays are always a restart for me during this time. I have made it a habit to plan out my week on Mondays during this time. Somehow it keeps the ball rolling and allows me to strive for something throughout the week.
Here is just a slice of what quarantine looks like on a Monday:
Luckily, Mondays are always a restart for me during this time. I have made it a habit to plan out my week on Mondays during this time. Somehow it keeps the ball rolling and allows me to strive for something throughout the week.
Here is just a slice of what quarantine looks like on a Monday:
5:00 AM-8:00 AM
- Make breakfast and drink some tea
- Listen to Podcast. Usually it's How to Money and Hall of Shame
- Learn Spanish using Duolingo
- Read a book. Lately it's the Science of Running
- Go for a run, do some form of exercise. I have been pulling stuff from the Fondren Fitness Instagram page
8:00 AM
- Plan my week ahead by setting up my schedule on Google Calendar.
- Check my work email and reply to any work related questions.
- Look for webinars for school
- Brainstorm and plan for next year
9:00 AM-12:00 PM
- Connect with parents about anything that has come up during staff meetings. Answering student and parent questions.
12:00 PM-3:00 PM
- Lunch time! Make some food.
- Create anything I might use for next year.
- Educational webinars.
4:00 PM-7:00 PM
- Grab dinner.
- Yoga either through Dope Yogi or Fondren Fitness. Otherwise I will go for a walk.
- Read a book/Draw or Write something
- If there is anything virtual happening, such as an artist performing or a Q & A with an author, I am there.
7:00 PM-9:00 PM
- Metallica Mondays-During this time Metallica has been posting their live shows on Facebook.
- Tarot Readings-There has been a group that meets up almost every Monday to discuss the week ahead through tarot readings that I sometimes check out.
- Unwind for the rest of the day whether by watching something on Netflix or reading some more.
That's pretty much my Monday. Throughout the week it is very similar depending on webinars and virtual events happening.
