Meltdown

**Read before you wonder what I mean by meltdown!**

It has been about 2 months since I wrote down my thoughts about the upcoming year and goals I want to accomplish throughout the next couple of months. Looking back, I think I have a long way to go. There has been some progress.
I have been able to do 2 fun runs that I have never done before. I took first place in each race although my main goal was to enjoy my time doing it. The first run I did in February was the Kaleidoscope 5k which was a color run. I practically ran to every station waiting to be showered in color. The whole experience was hilarious. The second fun run I did was recently. In the spirit of Mardi Gra I did the King Cake 5k. While it wasn't quiet what I expected, I got some beads and king cake out of it. I also ended up winning a gift card from Fleet Feet. And while I have been running during my off time from work, I have been preparing to do a half-marathon at the end of March called the Magnolia Meltdown. I blame my friends for that one.

In addition to running, I am still learning to dance with a little help from Youtube and a popular video game called Dance Central. While it's not the same as learning from an instructor, I am starting to feel comfortable moving around and not feeling like a block of wood. I always feel positive once I have done a few dances too so it's a great workout. Eventually I will get on the dance floor when the time is right.

When it comes to this year being an honest year, I am doing the best I can. I feel like I am still learning more about myself and putting myself out there in ways I haven't done since I moved down to Mississippi. I look forward to getting more involved in the community by volunteering for local organizations. I am also making a commitment to eating healthy again after spring break. As of right now, I am also staying in Mississippi for another year.
