Hot Springs and Spring Break
March felt like a month of traveling as I spent my spring break in parts of western Arkansas with family. The weather was colder than I expected but it was nice enough to spend some time outdoors. I spent a little time in Hot Springs hiking and enjoying some of the food it had to offer. My family and I went through the Gangster Museum of America, which was slightly informative when it came to the history of the city. We also took a trip to Anthony Chapel, which has some beautiful, unique architecture. Unfortunately, I missed out on the bath houses the city is most known for. Hopefully I get to visit again soon.
As we traveled north toward Fayetteville, I got the opportunity to hike Devil's Den. I enjoyed the trails there and the lake area was also nice. The surrounding area was gorgeous and I feel like I could have spent the entire day there with family. When we got to Fayetteville, we spent some time exploring the Native American artifact museum and Crystal Bridges in Bentonville on our final day.
On my way back from Fayetteville, I spent some time in Memphis for a few hours before coming back to Jackson. It wasn't until this weekend that I travelled to New Orleans for a bachelor party. It was a first for me because I have never been to a bachelor party before. It was fun to check out the World War II museum and hang out with my best friend and his friends on Bourbon Street.
While this month has gone by quickly, I haven't spent as much time running. I have focused on working out more when it comes to my legs and working with weights. I have been focused on building strength since I hear strength/cross training is helpful. I'm hoping to work toward my goals of eating more healthy and eating out less this month.
