Best of 2019 (Part II)

This year I tried to branch out when it comes to what to read this year. I love to read books but I spent less time reading books this year due to traveling and preparing for races. I ended up meeting my goal of reading 25 books though.

I enjoyed reading An American Marriage, and it kept me wondering how it would end. When it came to reading the Nickel Boys, I didn't know about the history of some of these academies. The book is written by the same writer who wrote The Underground Railroad, which I recommend.  Invisible Women was informative. There needs to be less gender bias when it comes to how data is analyzed to make decisions, while also thinking about how it can be utilized to meet the needs of everyone. The Toll was also a great

The Nickel Boys by Colson Whitehead

These are some of the tunes I had on rotation throughout the year. Whether it was on race day or during a workout session, these albums kept me going. Dierk's Bentley pretty much ate up half of the first part of my year and Shinedown ate up the latter.

Overall, I think this year was a bit of a surprise. While there may have been a few letdowns and bumps along the road, I had fun. My year was filled with adventure, even when there were days when I had a lot of work ahead of me. I always found something to entertain me in some way. Hopefully there was something this year that made you feel the same way.
